High waterproof durability

The GORE-TEX® membrane has billions of pores per square inch, which are about 20,000 times smaller than a water molecule, and these pores prevent water from penetrating the membrane and making it waterproof. All GORE-TEX® products pass multiple rigorous tests to ensure that the material meets standards, and GORE® seam-tape is used to further ensure waterproofness.
Products are also designed to prevent water from entering, and only those that have passed the strict rain test standards conducted in an artificial rain chamber are recognized as GORE-TEX brand products.
