While there are other pocketless work clothes besides these, the pocketless series, launched in 2012, was developed based on user and customer feedback.
So,This article will tell you about the process of development and features of its "Pocketless" series.
Why "pocketless" work uniforms that prevent foreign material contamination were requested
Until 2012, when pocketless work clothes did not exist, we received several inquiries a year asking if we had any work clothes without pockets.
However, since there was no such product, they responded, "No, because it would be inconvenient for work if there were no pockets.
Even so, some people insisted on having it, and in such cases, we guided them through the process of pocket tapping.
We get inquiries every year, so we ask users and others what reasons they want work clothes without pockets and why they need work clothes without pockets,
When a factory worker was out for his lunch break, he was walking around with his hands in his pockets, which caught the president's attention and he asked for improvements."
Coins and small items in the pocket fell, damaging the machine and disrupting operations.
'When I was hired for the school training uniform, I wanted to stop some students from taking classes with their hands in their pockets.'
The story came back to me.
Therefore,Knowing that there was such a need, Asahicho decided to develop work clothes without pockets.
Process of developing "pocketless" work clothes
First, in April 2011, the development of "pocketless" work clothes began with the president's idea.
From there, we decided to conduct market research and investigate the types of sites where they are used.
Paper Company
Food processing
Freight forwarder
Zoo
Diaper factory
Rice Center
Diamond Processing
We investigated whether the product is needed in the field, such as
The E141 series of pocketless blousons is completed as the autumn/winter 2012 lineup!

Samples were then created, modified four times, and the E141 series was completed!
The E141 series does not have a breast pocket or side pockets, as shown in the photo above.
Pocketless pants E151 also have no side or back pockets.
Zippers and buttons are also kept to a minimum to prevent damage to products and other items.
And we launched it as a new product for the fall/winter 2012 collection.
Spring-Summer 2013. E0371 Series

Then, we started planning long-sleeved shirts for spring/summer 2013.
However, we had to struggle with the specifications and design, especially the use of color schemes.
It was difficult to decide what colors to use.
The finished product may not look that difficult, but the simpler it is, the more difficult it is to complete, surprisingly.
The sample was created and completed with three revisions and the color blue was to be added.
Pocketless Blouson 14100 was developed at the request of users.

Then, for the fall/winter of 2016, users requested warmer clothes, and we began planning for warmer weather.
We selected a warm-weather garment as the base, based on which we created a sample without pockets, and completed the "Pocketless Blouson 14100".
It is a lightweight thermal protection with no pockets at all.
The lining is tricot-filled with raised resin cotton.
And also heavy winter wear "Extreme Cold® Pocketless Blouson 56000".

In response to users' comments that it was cold at some workplaces with light winter clothing, we also developed heavy winter clothing.
The project started when we decided to commercialize a product that had been processed to eliminate the pockets of existing winter clothes.
It is,The Extremely Cold® Pocketless Blouson 56000 was released in Fall/Winter 2018.
The outer material is a 100% polyester twill, and the lining is a dimpled mesh quilt with Thinsulate High Loft high-performance cotton for heat retention.
This is a freezer-specific cold-weather blouson without any pockets to protect workers from the extreme cold.
Commitment to "pocketless"

This is how we developed the pocketless work uniform, but there are some points we were particular about.
In pocketless work clothes, all pockets, including pen pockets, are not attached to prevent foreign objects from getting mixed in.
On the jacket, however, we decided to eliminate the breast pocket, but it would be flat and lose its design interest.
For this reason,To make a point, we added a color scheme to the front placket to make it look like there is a breast pocket.
We do these innovations and insist on things that are not unnatural to look at, for example.
There are also cases where "pockets are required on jackets but not on pants" (or the reverse pattern).
To meet those needs as well,It is designed to be a derivative of existing products and can be coordinated to suit different occasions.
Difference between general work clothes and pocketless

The difference between general work clothes and pocketless is easy to see by comparison.
These are general work clothes, "Long-Sleeved Blouson E140" (photo at left) and "Pocketless Blouson E141" (photo at right).
You will notice that the pocketless blouson E141 has a clean design and appearance, and that the pockets have been eliminated.
The work uniforms have a clean look and a non-natural shape.
Also,The shape is simple but not too plain so that it can be combined with existing products and still look and feel comfortable.
Manufacturing pocketless work clothes

Pocketless work clothes are manufactured in this way.
Here, the chest and other parts of the body are being stretched tightly with an iron.

This is the part of the collar being sewn on with a sewing machine.
Pocketless" is a niche product, but highly regarded.
In terms of the overall market for work clothes and other products, "pocketless" work clothes are a niche product.
However, the lack of pockets eliminates the time and expense involved in processing and allows for immediate delivery, which has been well received since the product was announced.
In addition, although the initial focus was on preventing the introduction of foreign objects, the system has also been adopted by companies requiring measures to prevent the removal of money, securities, and other items.
Recently, there is a need to prevent information leaks, and there are calls for this type of pocketless work uniform, for example.
What are your future plans?
We have not yet decided on the future of pocketless work clothes, but we hope to develop pocketless work clothes and other products in response to user requests and needs.
